Struggling with arm pain when trying to maintain a pull-up routine

Hi everyone, I could really use some advice. I've been trying to incorporate pull-ups into my fitness routine, but I keep running into issues with arm pain and overuse injuries. A couple years ago I developed golfer's elbow which took months of rehab to recover from. Now I'm dealing with what feels like tennis elbow on the other arm. I can still do chin-ups without pain, but pull-ups are really painful right now. I try to be careful and only do pull-ups 2-3 times a week max, but injuries keep happening. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips for avoiding injuries while still progressing with pull-ups? I don't want to give up on them completely but I'm getting discouraged. Thanks in advance for any insights!

Consider incorporating more chin-ups and assisted pull-ups to reduce strain. Focus on proper form, gradual progression, and adequate rest between sessions. Strengthening exercises for your forearms and rotator cuff muscles may help prevent injuries. Consult a physical therapist for personalized advice and rehabilitation exercises.
