I was prescribed a SomnoGuard mandibular advancement device (MAD) several years ago by my ENT. I used one for about 3 years. My Medicare Advantage plan paid a good bit on this, until I changed plans and the ENT for some reason would only sell me a noncovered device for full retail ($700+). I looked online for an alternative. My research lead me several different devices. The SnoreRX seemed to be the closest alternative in structure and operation to the SomnoGuard so I decided to try it. Much less expensive, thankfully, as I am not getting any insurance coverage. The SnoreRX seems to work pretty well. Because I already knew about MAD operation and had used the SomnoGuard, I adapted quickly to the SnoreRX. It seems to work just about as well. I note the following differences: (1) the tooth impressions are not as deep as the SomnoGuard, so the SnoreRX does not hold as firmly to the teeth; (2) there is something about the hinge at the back that irritates my gum on one side, I think the hinge has a protrusion that rubs or catches some of my gum; I do not know if I will adapt to this; (3) the SomnoGuard allows for more lateral movement of the jaw, which the SnoreRX does not; it helps to have a bit more lateral movement: (4) the adjustment feature is a little tricky, but not too bad, I had to fiddle with it. But overall, I intend to keep with the SnoreRX as long as it remains affordable … I hope they can make some minor improvements as suggested.

SnoreRX is a custom-fit, boil-and-bite mandibular advancement device (MAD) designed to reduce or eliminate snoring. It works by gently repositioning the lower jaw forward, opening the airway and preventing the tissues at the back of the throat from vibrating, which is the primary cause of snoring.
SnoreRX offers a comfortable fit due to its custom molding process and comes with calibration settings for incremental adjustments to find the optimal jaw position. This allows users to fine-tune the device for maximum effectiveness and comfort. T
he company emphasizes the device's affordability compared to other MADs and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. SnoreRX is BPA and latex-free, promoting safety and biocompatibility. While not a cure for sleep apnea, it can be an effective solution for simple snoring. Users are encouraged to consult with a doctor if they suspect they have a sleep disorder.
