Struggling with proper pushup form despite consistent training

I've been consistently training again for the past two weeks, but I'm really struggling with pushups. I've watched many instructional videos on correct form, but something still feels off when I try to execute them. My goal is to target my chest muscles, but I feel other parts of my upper body activating instead when I lower into the pushup position. I'm trying to follow the proper form - arms shoulder-width apart (which feels quite narrow), scapula protracted, shoulders pulled back, and belly tucked in. However, just getting into the starting position correctly feels like a challenge. When I attempt to lower myself, I often get stuck at the bottom and can't push back up. I don't think it's purely a strength issue, as I believe I should be able to do at least 5 proper pushups if I really push myself. Today I spent almost 30 minutes trying to get the form right before giving up in frustration. If anyone has insights into what I might be doing wrong, I would greatly appreciate the help. I'm really motivated to make progress with my pushups and overall fitness goals.
