How do you all stay so lean while still maintaining strength?
As someone who typically hovers around 18-20% body fat, I've found it really challenging to get leaner without losing strength and energy. I know being lean is supposed to be great for bodyweight exercises, but when I've tried cutting down to even 15% body fat in the past, I felt way weaker and had a much harder time recovering from workouts.
My job as a construction worker is pretty physically demanding, so I need to keep my energy levels up. The few times I've managed to get down to 12% body fat or lower, I ended up feeling exhausted all the time and was much more prone to injuries.
I'm curious to hear how others manage to stay really lean while still maintaining their strength and stamina, especially those with active jobs. What's your experience been like? Any tips for making it more sustainable? I'd love to find a better balance but so far being too lean just hasn't seemed practical for me.
