I've struggled with my weight for most of my adult life and I'm getting tired of feeling out of breath after climbing stairs and dealing with joint pain. I recently watched some videos on yoga and was inspired by how flexible and graceful the instructors were.
For reference, I'm female, 5'6" and 220lbs. I've tried various workout programs in the past but never stuck with anything long-term. My last attempt was taking a few Zumba classes with a friend, which I enjoyed, but our schedules conflicted and we stopped going.
I have a bad habit of buying fitness equipment and not using it, so my home 'gym' currently includes: yoga mat, resistance bands, 10lb dumbbells, stability ball, and some workout DVDs.
My main goal is to lose weight, improve my flexibility, and feel more energetic. I'd love any advice on getting started with a sustainable routine!
