Finding balance between a healthy diet and enjoyment of life
As someone trying to improve my health and wellness, I've been wondering - where's the line between a beneficial healthy diet and one that becomes overly restrictive and stressful?
I've been trying to eat 80g of protein, lots of veggies and whole grains, take my vitamins, drink plenty of water, etc. But it feels like there's always more I 'should' be doing - cut out all sugar, never eat out, measure every gram...
At what point does the stress of maintaining a 'perfect' diet outweigh the health benefits? How do we balance nutrition with still enjoying food, social gatherings, and life?
I want to be healthy but I don't want my entire life to revolve around my diet. Has anyone else struggled to find this balance? Where do you draw the line between healthy habits and going overboard?
