Last night I was wide awake at 2 AM, my mind racing with thoughts about my upcoming yoga teacher training and meal prep ideas for next week. After tossing and turning for what felt like forever, I decided to try a quick meditation. I sat up, closed my eyes, and focused on my breath for just 5 minutes - inhaling for 4 counts, holding for 2, then exhaling for 6. Whenever my mind wandered, I gently labeled it 'thinking' and returned to my breath. By the end, I felt so much calmer and sleepier. When I laid back down, I drifted off almost immediately!
