Hi everyone, I'm Shannon and I've been trying to incorporate meditation into my daily wellness routine, but I'm having some difficulties. I've attempted guided meditations and even participated in online seminars, but nothing seems to really help.
I can only manage to meditate for about 5-10 minutes at most. My mind refuses to stay calm or thoughtless - even when I try chanting mantras, there are always background thoughts intruding.
I've heard that visualization is important in meditation, but I struggle with this too. When I try to visualize, all I see is darkness. This has made me hesitant to sign up for any courses focused on intuition or meditation.
Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have advice on how to improve my meditation practice and overcome these obstacles? I'd really appreciate any tips or guidance from more experienced meditators. Thanks in advance!
