Struggling with inverted rows on my new rings after major weight loss
Hey everyone, I'm Joseph. I started my fitness journey in 2019 and have lost over 120 pounds since then. Recently, I got my first set of rings to continue challenging myself, but I'm having some trouble with inverted rows.
I'm not entirely sure if I've set them up correctly, but they seem okay. The carabiners are a bit tricky to adjust and don't go very high. My main issue is that whenever I try to do inverted rows, I end up sliding down to the ground. I'm pretty tall with long arms, so I end up completely horizontal with my back touching the ground.
On the rare occasions when I do manage to get it right for a moment, it feels too easy and I don't feel like I'm working anything. Then I lower myself and slide right back down again!
Can anyone offer some tips or advice? I'm new to using rings and could really use some guidance. Thanks in advance for any help!
