Pull-ups as a 75kg woman: Anyone else struggling? Tips for progressing safely?

Hi everyone, Natasha here. I've been working on my strength training for a while now, but I'm finding pull-ups to be really challenging at my current weight of 75kg (165 lbs). I can manage about 3-4 full range of motion pull-ups with good form, but improving beyond that has been tough. I can do more chin-ups (around 6-7) and neutral grip pull-ups are a bit easier too. My goal is to build up to muscle-ups eventually, but progress has been slow. When I've tried increasing volume or intensity, I've run into issues with my biceps, elbows or shoulders getting sore. Adding weight didn't work well either - I got up to 10kg extra but then had to stop due to elbow pain. I'm curious to hear from other women around my size: - Do you also find pull-ups extra hard at this weight? - What rep ranges worked best for you? Low (3-5) or higher volume? - How do you balance progressing with staying injury-free? I'd love to hear any tips on variations, accessory exercises, or recovery techniques that have helped. Hoping to build up my pull-up strength while keeping my joints healthy! Thanks in advance for any advice!
