Frustrated with slow progress after a year of consistent training

Hey everyone, David here. I've been using this health and wellness portal for about a year now to track my fitness journey. I'm 32 years old and have been following a consistent workout routine and diet plan, but I'm feeling discouraged by my lack of visible progress. I've been hitting the gym 4-5 times a week, focusing on compound lifts and progressive overload. I'm careful about my nutrition too - eating plenty of protein (around 1g per pound of body weight) and tracking my calories. I did a cutting phase from July to November last year, and have been in a bulking phase since then. But when I look at my progress photos from a year ago compared to now, I barely see any difference. My lifts have only gone up marginally - for example, my bench press has only increased from 160 lbs to 185 lbs in a whole year. That seems really low for someone who should be experiencing newbie gains. I feel like most of the weight I've gained during my bulk has just been fat rather than muscle. Am I doing something wrong? Should I have seen more significant changes by now? Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
