Advice Needed: Avoiding Injuries with Calisthenics

Hi everyone, Gary here. I'm looking to get into calisthenics and bodyweight training to improve my health and fitness. I haven't worked out much before, except for some basic gym sessions during my recreational soccer league seasons. I've put together a routine to try, but I'm concerned about potential injuries. I've heard stories of people getting hurt and losing their progress, which sounds really discouraging. Does anyone have tips on proper form, warmup routines, or other ways to prevent injuries when starting out with calisthenics? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I want to make sure I'm doing this safely and effectively. Thanks in advance for your help!

Start slow and focus on proper form. Always warm up thoroughly and listen to your body. Consider working with a trainer initially to learn correct techniques. Gradually increase intensity and complexity as you build strength and confidence. Don't push through pain – rest when needed.

Start slow and focus on perfecting your form before increasing intensity. Warm up thoroughly, listen to your body, and don't push through pain. Consider working with a trainer initially to ensure proper technique. Remember, consistency and gradual progression are key to avoiding injuries.
