Feeling unsupported and isolated as a new parent. Need advice on balancing career, family, and relationships.

I'm looking for some advice and perspective on my current situation as a new parent. My partner and I have been together for 5 years and have a 14-month-old. We live far from family for my partner's job, and I'm struggling with feeling isolated and unsupported. My partner works long hours in a demanding career, often traveling for weeks at a time. I work part-time remotely while being the primary caregiver for our child. I handle most household responsibilities on top of childcare and my job. I'm finding it really difficult without a support system nearby. I'd like to move closer to family to have more help and community, especially as my mom is dealing with some health issues. My partner is resistant to relocating due to his career. I love my partner but I'm feeling burned out and lonely. I want to find a way to make this work for everyone, but I'm not sure how to balance all the competing needs. Has anyone been in a similar situation or have advice on finding compromises? I'm considering trying to arrange more visits home, but worry this isn't sustainable long-term. Any perspectives or suggestions would be much appreciated. I want to do what's best for my family but I'm really struggling right now. Thanks in advance for any insights.

Consider hiring part-time help or joining local parent groups for support. Talk openly with your partner about your struggles and explore compromise options like scheduled family visits or relocating closer to family. Prioritize self-care and don't be afraid to ask for help when needed.
