Seeking scientific evidence on meditation's cognitive and mood benefits
Hello everyone! As someone who's always looking to optimize my health and wellness, I've been curious about meditation. While I know it's widely regarded as beneficial, I've heard mixed things about the scientific backing. I'm particularly interested in meditation's potential cognitive benefits (like improved focus and multitasking) and mood effects (helping with depression, anger, etc.). Does anyone know of any rigorous studies or strong scientific evidence supporting these specific benefits of meditation? I'd love to hear what others have found in their research or personal experiences. Thanks in advance for any insights!
Inverted rows vs scapular pull-ups: Which is better for my wellness goals?
Hey wellness community! I've been working on improving my upper body strength and mobility lately. My ultimate goal is to be able to do arch back pull-ups. I know a balanced routine should include both horizontal and vertical pulling movements, but I'm short on time and need to choose just one exercise to focus on for now.
I'm trying to decide between inverted rows and scapular pull-ups. Inverted rows seem great for working the upper back muscles and scapular retractors. Scapular pull-ups target the scapular depressors as well as retractors.
Which do you think would be more beneficial for my goals? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks in advance for any advice!
