Overwhelmed and struggling

As someone focused on health and wellness, I've been trying to take care of myself but lately it feels like too much. Between work stress, relationship issues, and trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, I'm feeling really overwhelmed. I've even started getting frequent headaches and catching colds more often. Has anyone else experienced physical health issues when under a lot of mental/emotional pressure? How do you cope when it feels like everything is piling up at once? Looking for advice on managing stress and staying healthy during difficult times.

Struggling to maintain my meditation practice on good days

Hey everyone, Frank here. I've been trying to make meditation a regular habit to help manage my fluctuating moods and emotions. I've found it really helpful on tough days when I'm feeling down. The problem is, on days when I'm already feeling good, I find it hard to motivate myself to sit and meditate. I know I should test it out to see if it still provides benefits on good days too. Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you stay consistent with your practice even when you were feeling good? I'd love to hear your experiences and any advice you might have. Thanks in advance!

Struggling with push-ups at 50+

I'm a 52-year-old man trying to get back in shape. I've been using resistance bands and can do about 8-10 pull-ups with assistance, but push-ups are really giving me trouble. Even doing them on my knees is a challenge. I started a fitness routine about a month ago and can use 10-pound dumbbells for chest exercises. Pull-ups were tough at first, but I've made good progress. Push-ups are a different story - my form is poor, my arms shake, and I can barely hold a plank for 20 seconds. Any advice for building up to proper push-ups at my age would be greatly appreciated!

30-Day Mindfulness Challenge - May 2025

Hey everyone, I've been struggling to maintain a consistent meditation practice lately, and I thought some of you might be in the same boat. So I wanted to propose a 30-day mindfulness challenge for May to help us all get back on track! The goal is simple - meditate for at least 10 minutes every day in May. We can use any technique that works for us, whether it's breath awareness, body scanning, or guided meditations. The important thing is consistency. If you want to join me in this challenge, leave a comment below. We can check in with each other throughout the month to share progress and offer encouragement. I find having some accountability really helps me stick with it. I'm planning to meditate first thing each morning using the Headspace app. My goal is 10 minutes daily, but I may try to work up to 15-20 minutes by the end of the month if it's going well. Let me know if you have any questions. Looking forward to developing this healthy habit together! Namaste, Frank

Shoulder pain during scapular exercises - any advice?

Hey everyone, Frank here. I've been trying to improve my shoulder health and posture through scapular exercises, but I'm running into some issues. Whenever I do scapular push-ups or pull-ups, I get this sharp pain in the front of my shoulder during the retraction part. It's really frustrating because these exercises are always recommended for shoulder health, but they seem to be doing more harm than good for me. Has anyone else experienced this? Are there alternative exercises I could try that won't aggravate my shoulders? I'm wondering if maybe I'm doing something wrong with my form, or if my shoulders just aren't built for these particular movements. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! I really want to strengthen my shoulders and improve my posture, but not at the expense of causing more pain.
