Switching from gym to home calisthenics - feeling uncertain. Any advice?
Hey fellow wellness warriors,
I could use some encouragement as I make a big change in my fitness routine.
For the past couple years, I've been hitting the gym 5 days a week doing a PPL split. I was making good progress with lifts like:
• Bench press: 60kg x 6 reps
• Squats: 80kg x 8 reps
• Deadlifts: 100kg x 10 reps
But recently, I've had to switch to working out at home using just bodyweight exercises and minimal equipment (dip bars, parallettes, resistance bands). I've put together a 5-day calisthenics routine that tries to mirror my old gym split.
While I'm enjoying the freedom of exercising outdoors in my garden at sunrise, I'm struggling mentally with the transition. It feels like I'm not doing "enough" compared to lifting heavy weights.
Has anyone else gone through a similar gym-to-calisthenics switch? How did you adjust your mindset? Any tips for trusting the process and staying motivated?
I'd love to hear from others who have made this transition successfully. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Hello wellness community!
I've been researching sustainable and ethically-sourced protein powders lately. I found a great grass-fed whey option from an organic farm, but the shipping costs to Europe are prohibitively expensive (nearly 70€!).
I'm wondering if anyone in the Brussels area would be interested in placing a group order to split the shipping costs. I know it's a bit of a long shot, but thought I'd check!
Alternatively, does anyone know of similar high-quality, eco-friendly protein powder brands available in Europe? I'd love to find a more local option if possible.
Thanks so much for any suggestions! Wishing you all health and wellness.

Experiencing side effects from propranolol - anyone else?
Hi everyone,
I recently started taking propranolol for anxiety about a week ago, and I'm a bit concerned about some side effects I've been experiencing. My appetite has decreased, I'm feeling extremely tired, and most worryingly, I've noticed my stools have become very dark.
Has anyone else dealt with these kinds of side effects from propranolol, especially the dark stools? Did they improve over time or after stopping the medication?
I'd really appreciate hearing others' experiences. I'm trying not to worry too much, but it's hard not to when you notice such changes.
Thanks in advance for any insights!
