Hey everyone, I've been seeing a lot of hype lately about 'black food diets' and I'm curious to get your thoughts. As someone who's always looking for new ways to improve my health and nutrition, it caught my attention. But I have some questions:
First, it seems like there aren't many naturally black foods - most would need to be colored with things like squid ink or activated charcoal. Is that accurate?
If you only ate perfectly black foods (by adding those coloring agents), would that be healthy long-term? I'm worried about getting all the necessary nutrients.
What about nutrient absorption - would the black coloring interfere with that at all?
And are black foods really as high in antioxidants as people claim?
I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with or knowledge about this type of diet. Always trying to learn more about optimizing my nutrition! Thanks in advance for any insights.
