Home workouts can be isolating - how do you stay motivated?
As a busy mom in my 40s, I've found that working out at home is so much more convenient than going to a gym. I have a treadmill, some resistance bands, and dumbbells in my basement that I use 3-4 times a week. It saves time and money, but I'm starting to feel a bit isolated in my fitness journey.
My husband and teenage kids aren't really into exercise, even though I've tried to get them involved. We eat pretty healthy as a family - lots of veggies, lean proteins, and not much junk food. But I'm the only one who works out regularly.
I'm curious how others deal with the solitary nature of home workouts. Do you ever feel unmotivated without the social aspect of a gym? I'm committed to staying fit as I get older, especially to keep up with my active granddaughter. But some days it's hard to get started without any external accountability.
Any tips for staying motivated when working out alone at home? I'd love to hear how others handle this! At 47, I know it's so important to keep moving and building strength. But the lack of community can be challenging sometimes.
