Opened up to my yoga instructor about work stress - did I do the right thing?
Hey wellness community,
I just had a conversation with my yoga instructor about the stress I've been experiencing lately. I recently went to my holistic practitioner about some skin issues, and they diagnosed me with shingles, which they said was likely brought on by elevated stress levels.
I shared with my instructor that with some recent changes in my work-life balance, my body and mind have been struggling to keep up, mentioning the shingles as evidence.
Was this oversharing? I'm worried about the long-term health impacts of chronic stress, but I also don't want to jeopardize the rapport I have with my yoga community by seeming like I can't handle life's challenges. Any thoughts on finding that balance between vulnerability and maintaining a positive attitude?
