Exciting New Research on Magnesium and DNA Protection
Hey wellness community! I just came across a fascinating study about magnesium that I wanted to share.
We all know magnesium is great for muscle recovery, mood, and sleep. But get this - it may also help protect our DNA!
The study looked at healthy adults taking 400mg of magnesium citrate daily for 4 weeks. Here's what they found:
• It significantly reduced markers of DNA damage
• This effect was strongest in people with lower magnesium levels to start
• No side effects were reported
Apparently these DNA markers are linked to aging, cancer risk, and chronic disease. Pretty amazing that a simple mineral supplement could have such a profound effect!
Of course, more research is needed, especially long-term. But it just goes to show how important magnesium is for our overall health. I'm definitely going to keep up with my magnesium supplements.
What do you all think? Anyone else taking magnesium and noticing benefits? Let me know in the comments!
