Struggling with self-care and follow-through in my wellness journey
I've been on a health and wellness journey for the past few years, but I'm really struggling with follow-through on some basic self-care habits. For example, I keep putting off getting a haircut even though my hair is driving me crazy. I end up just wearing a hat every day for months instead of actually booking an appointment.
I know I need to take better care of myself, but for some reason I keep avoiding it. A few weeks ago I told myself I would definitely get a haircut while on a short trip, but I'm back now and still haven't done it. When my partner gently asks about it, I just brush it off.
I realize this is part of a larger pattern of avoidance and lack of follow-through when it comes to self-care. I want to be more proactive about my health and appearance, but I'm struggling to actually take action. Has anyone else dealt with this? How can I motivate myself to stop procrastinating and actually follow through on these small but important self-care tasks? Any tips for building better habits around personal grooming and wellness routines?
