Boyfriend moving away for work. I'm stuck living with his family. Help!
I could really use some advice. My boyfriend of 3 years just got a job offer in Alaska for a year. I'm happy for his career opportunity, but I'm devastated he'll be gone so long. To complicate things, I recently moved back in with him after sorting out some financial issues. The problem is his sister, her boyfriend, and 5 kids have been living with us for 7 months in our small apartment. They were only supposed to stay a month. It's extremely crowded and stressful. They're messy and have brought roaches. I stay in our room to avoid the chaos. I'm dreading being stuck here alone with them while my boyfriend is gone. I want to ask them to leave before he goes, but I'm not sure how. I've considered going to Alaska with him for a fresh start, but I'm torn. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation or have advice on setting boundaries with family? I just want some peace and to feel comfortable in my own home again.
