The Yoli Diet Review - Pros, Cons, and How It Works
The Yoli Diet Review - Pros, Cons, and How It Works
Jane
Although there are many different diets around, there are few that have gained as much attention as the Yoli Better Body System - otherwise known as the Yoli Diet. This extensive weight loss program claims to help dieters shed up to 15 pounds in just 7 days, by simply following a very detailed - and well rounded - Yoli weight loss plan.
We understand why it might be tempting to kickstart your Yoli diet plan, with snappy names such as Dream, Passion and the famous YES shake (Yoli’s Essential Shake) on offer, what’s not to love? But does the popular Yoli plan live up to its name? Should we believe the hype? We’ve decided to take a look for ourselves.
Below you’ll find a complete review of this popular diet plan, including potential side effects and its real fat-burning potential.
What is the Yoli diet?
Although coincidentally named similarly to the popular phrase - “Yolo” - the Yoli diet (or the ‘Yoli’ part at least!) is actually an Aztec word meaning ‘to live’. But what does that really mean when it comes to weight loss? Well, according to the directors of Yoli LLC, their focus is “to help people live the best lives possible”.
Their mission can be summarised into the below three points. Their aim? To transform your life:
Emotionally
Physically
Financially
While we may have expected the obvious physical benefits, the Yoli diet claims to help transform your emotional wellbeing, too - a somewhat domino effect from your physical transformation. Now, we weren’t sure about the financial benefit, either. However, by sharing their product with others you can (supposedly) change your financial position as well.
It all sounds great so far, doesn’t it? The question still remains: Does it really work? Don’t worry, we’re about to take you through the finer details on our way to uncovering the truth behind the Yoli diet plan and its effects.
Firstly, let’s take a look at what the Yoli Better Body System involves and how it can help with your weight loss. But before you read on, it’s important to pay attention to the idea of Yoli.
Consider it total lifestyle overhaul, rather than a diet, helping you to change your view of food and healthy food options.
What does the Yoli Diet System include?
If you’re a first time user, it’s time to buckle up! As the Yoli Diet System isn’t like other diets. That’s right, the Yoli program is much more of a “kit” than anything else. These are broken up accordingly:
The Transformation Kit
The ideal kit for first time Yoli users, the Transformation Kit contains a meal plan that you can customise and a selection of supplements for you to start your Yoli journey with.
The Lifestyle Kits
Once you’ve complete the Transformation Kit and you’re ready for the next step, the Lifestyle Kit includes a whole stack of products for a complete program. Here you can create your very own personalized kit, or choose from one of the following: The Energy Kit, the Weight Management Kit or the Alkalinity Kit.
The Yoli diet is more than a weight loss plan - it’s a community. Supplements aside, you’ll be encouraged to join the Yoli Community and take advantage of their various perks - including ways to make some extra money. You’ll even have the opportunity to gain sponsored holidays/trips and lease luxurious cars, amongst other perks. Unlike many other fad diets that come and go, Yoli aims to stick around as a life-changing program.
But before you think ‘sign me up!’ you better be prepared to dig deep as the starter kit will set you back $340 alone. So it’s definitely worth thinking about before you whip out the credit card.
How does the Yoli diet work?
Losing weight, extra money in the bank and a whole new healthy lifestyle, it sounds too good to be true... Most of the products included are of a similar standard to your usual weight loss supplements, however, there are a couple of interesting ingredients worth noting.
So let’s take a look at what’s behind the claims (and the cost!).
Restoring pH balance
Yoli’s main ingredient is Alkalete, which, wait for it… Alkalinizes your body and balances your pH levels. Yep, that’s a thing. But if you’re as confused as we were, check out the video below for Yoli’s explanation direct.
Acid-ash hypothesis
You’ve probably heard about pH levels before, but you might be feeling uncertain. Put simply, the pH scale shows how acidic something is. Running from 0 (acid) to 14 (base), with 7 sitting neutrally in the middle. Your blood’s level is at pH=7.4 on average, so if something has a pH higher than 7, you’re falling into alkaline territory.
So, naturally, along came the alkaline diet - developed alongside the acid-ash hypothesis. This medical hypothesis claims that diets with a high acidic level can have a serious impact on your health. Shockingly, the disease most frequently mentioned is osteoporosis - a disease which weakens your bones and leaves you with a higher risk of bone fractures. Where possible, we recommend reducing the acidity and upping your foods that contain more alkaline. Claims have been made that an alkaline diet can even present severe illnesses such as cancer and heart disease.
The Yoli diet follows this theory, with its product Alkalete has been created with the purpose of reducing excess dietary acidic levels.
Is there science behind it?
Well, not really. Since the Alkaline Diet became popular (with the Yoli diet also on the rise), many studies have been carried out to test their theory.
It seems, researchers aren’t quite convinced. With no real evidence found supporting an Alkaline pH diet and the benefits claimed by many diet plans. One study in particular combined research on the acid-ash hypothesis and tested multiple studies, concluding that the hypothesis is actually incorrect.
While researchers also studied the apparent relationship between alkaline and cancer treatment, but this also came back with negative results. Another focused in on alkaline diets and osteoporosis, concluding there were no positive links between the two - with no evidence promoting the alkaline diet.
Although we’re not here to say that Yoli’s diet Alkalete or the Alkaline diet are going to harm you, but it would seem there’s a lack of evidence backing up their claims...
What are the other products?
So far, we’re not quite sold - but it is just one slice of the Yoli Better Body System (BBS). However, their other products do seem more box-standard, with ingredients you’re more than likely already familiar with.
You can, however, get the essential amino acids your body needs via their Yoli Essential Shake (YES) - their whey protein blend to create your own protein-filled shake. You’ve more than likely heard of whey protein before, as it is widely associated with building strength and muscle and has been a popular sports supplement for many years.
So, how about their Passion Drink? Does passion work or have any side effects? Well, you can expect to find it in the Transformation Kit, and while it may not be revolutionary, it’ll give your metabolism a boost. This low calorie energy drink contains natural caffeine from green tea leaf extract, making it a nice little boost of energy and a different take on your morning cup of coffee.
But what else is in the Yoli Transformation Kit? The last ingredient you’ll find is a product called Pure - a supplement which blends probiotics and fiber to help support your digestive system. Probiotics, in particular, help us to maintain a healthy level of bacteria in our gut, increasing the health and efficacy of your body’s bacterial culture.
Choosing the Yoli diet lifestyle
Minus their branded products, the element that separates Yoli Better Body System from the rest goes beyond their supplements - it’s a lifestyle choice.
While other diets focus solely on weight loss, the Yoli diet looks to turn your diet and outlook around. Alongside their Transformation Kit, you’ll also receive their Better Body System Workbook which will work as your guide to achieving a healthier lifestyle. Use this roadmap of recipes, meal plans and everything in between to help transform your life.
Yoli diet and weight loss: Does it work?
Let’s put the lifestyle and science claims aside and get down to what you really want to know: does the Yoli diet work for weight loss?
If we’re being totally honest, the reviews are a little divided. And when we say a ‘little’, we’re actually talking very. Some of those who used Yoli spoke volumes of the diet, saying they lost weight almost instantly… While others, well, spent a lot of money with little result.
Overall, the results of Yoli seem to greatly depend on your commitment to change your general diet, rather than a focus on the products themselves. And naturally, that brings us onto our next point: the benefits of the BBS.
What are the benefits of the Yoli diet?
If you check out Yoli’s positive reviews you may start to see a trend - Yoli is a lifestyle change. Although their supplement ingredients may benefit your body, they aren’t really anything we haven’t seen before. Many dieters want fast results, and we’re not quite sure Yoli delivers there - but it may help you shift your mindset towards a healthier way of eating.
But wait, you came here for Yoli diet benefits, right? Well, the biggest benefit we’ve discovered is not in the ingredients but its awareness. Yoli has the ability to help people change their unhealthy lifestyle and make healthier food choices.
We’re not quite sure about paying hundreds of dollars for supplements that don’t deliver, though!
How much does the Yoli diet program cost?
When it comes to the Yoli diet, the number one concern for dieters is sadly, its cost.
This is where you may start to reconsider your diet plan choices… As the Yoli Better Body System will sett you back $340. And we’re sorry to break it to you, but that’s just the starter kit.
Any diet plan or fitness regime is a commitment, but this one is a little more than that.
Yoli diet side effects
We don’t want to put a downer on things, but it’s important to point out the possible side effects associated with the Yoli diet. A few have experienced the following:
Increased heart rate.
Headaches.
Constipation.
So, aside from the dent in your bank balance, there have been few side effects reported from Yoli diet users.
Conclusion - Is Yoli worth it?
When it comes down to it, is Yoli really worth it? If we’re being frank, there’s not quite enough evidence to have us convinced.
